SkillsUSA Kansas has adopted the Facilithon program for their 2021-22 year including a competition at their fall leadership conference October 26th – 28th this year. SkillsUSA- Kansas Director Becky Warren approved the competition launch much earlier than most states, who run initial events at regional or state conferences. The competition itself will occur on October 28th at 6:30 PM CDT.
The FM Pipeline team, meanwhile, is hosting a mixer in Kissimmee, FL that week, for which judging will be done virtually. The Facilithon has been using technical innovations to accomplish its goals for several years; instituting online methods far earlier than the rest of the educational institutions to maintain growth and momentum. In March of 2020, the team moved the entire contest online, just as most CTSO’s around the United States closed up shop, awaiting a clearing of Covid.
The expansion of The Facilithon is in correlation with its receiving national technical demo status from SkillsUSA in late September.
