The FM Pipeline Facilithon program, which engages, enlightens and energizes middle, high school and post-secondary students to become our Next Gen of FM, has applied for SkillsUSA national Demonstration Competition status. Launched in 2014 and having grown to 8 states, the Facilithon has consistently beaten expectations for a 501(c)(3)-driven industry program, due to its strong volunteer core and unique fit in the SkillsUSA CTSO environment with its related career pathways.
Upon achieving this status, SkillsUSA directors, instructors, advisors and students at large will be able to see this unique competition in action on the 2022 SkillsUSA National Skills & Leadership Conference competition floor in Atlanta, GA.
Given its track record of innovation in light of disruptive elements in 2020, the FM Pipeline Team, Facilithon’s creators and administrators, delivered two enhancements to SkillsUSA national leadership to better explain this varied and exciting career with a special demonstration competition for the directors themselves to participate in and explanatory videos including the recently-released Facilitopics Instructor video series to help educators better prepare their students for this competition and subsequent career.
Contact the FM Pipeline Team for more information on how to engage with our next generation of facility management, through the SkillsUSA Facilithon program.
